“Snow shipment” stopped by colombian police

18:22PM  02 Sep 2011

The colombian police seized six point five tons of cocaine near the city of Bogota where they found the drug buried in the desert near the Caribbean coast and wrapped in 87 waterproof sacks.

The Police believes that the cocaine was ready for export to Honduras, and that it belonged to the Rastrojos, a gang of former right wing militia that turned to drug runners, gun runners and prostitution networking.

In a separate haul near the Venezuelan border police discovered ten kilos of the drug being transported in the back of an ambulance. The vehicle was intercepted after it tried to dodge a police checkpoint. During this attempt to scape, the police killed two criminals after a gun fight.

It could be that the American military bases are actually safeguarding the cocaine shipments to the U.S instead of fighting the narcs. The fact is that despite Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos' promise to tackle drug trafficking and gangs, Colombia is still the world's number one producer of cocaine.
